ACCOMMODATION AND INFORMATION
You may choose from several types of
accommodation while studying with Cambridge Finance Language Studio.
A STUDY BEDROOM WITHIN CAMBRIDGE UNIVERSITY
This option is only available to
participants on our summer courses. The rooms are based within the campus of
Girton College which is one of the 31 colleges that form Cambridge
University.
It is convenient to have accommodation
on site throughout the intensive course, and it gives more independence than
host family accommodation. You will have your own study bedroom (with shared
bathroom facilities) in the beautiful University grounds. Use of the
University sports facilities is included.
The college is just outside the main city
centre which can be reached by walking (30 minutes), bicycle (10 minutes) or
bus
(10 minutes).
Cost: €50 per night, including full breakfast
in the University dining room. Optional evening meal is available.
A LOCAL HOST FAMILY
You stay with a local host family who will
provide you with a private bedroom and shared bathroom facilities. Families
are
selected for comfort of accommodation and proximity to Girton college.
However, there is fierce competition in Cambridge for this type of
accommodation, especially in the summer. You may need to make a short
journey to the college by public transport or bicycle, depending on the
location of your host
family.
Cost: €175 per week, including breakfast
and evening meal.
HOTELS AND BED & BREAKFAST
Hotel accommodation is widely available in
Cambridge at a variety of prices, ranging from €80 to €250 per night.
Bed and breakfast accommodation gives
you a small bedroom and an English
breakfast and is available from €55 to €100 per night. If you are interested
in these types of accommodation please ask for details.
